Description

Recently constructed on a quiet new road overlooking Col. Paso Guayabo, Casa Julio offers you a new opportunity for living in artistic simplicity next to the wonderous beauties of nature. Only 15 minutes fom Centro Puerto Vallarta, Casa Julio's magnificent location offers all the joys of living in paradise... close to nature, but with modern conveniences. The Rio Cuale at this point in the mountains is even more clear and beautiful than in PV, and is only a 3 minute walk away. The air is clean and pure, and cooler and dryer than in Centro making this area even more of a paradise.
Julio Hernandez, the owner, is an artist that loves nature and has created an oasis in a jungle setting for Casa Julio. A sparkling waterfall of natural spring water is an added highlight right next to the kitchen which is completely out-of-doors. The kitchen includes a state-of-art 2008 model LG digital refrigerator and freezer, and a new 5 element gas stove and oven, and plenty of storage for supplies. The roof above features translucent polycarbonate panels for lots of light. This area has been designed so that should you desire, it would be simple to enclose the kitchen... but you'll love the wonderful feeling of freedom in this area just as it is.
Just next to the kitchen and up a few steps is the artist's studio ... an open concept with perfect natural lighting as a result of the polycarbonate panels that form two pyramidal structures in the ceiling. The panels are a combination of opaque, translucent, and clear ... you can see the stars at night right through the roof! There are huge green-tinted sliding glass windows and screens that overlook the panorama of the Rio Cuale and the mountain jungle... making this room a perfect place for meditation and yoga as well as being the studio area. The natural light of this room provides perfect color for the artist. The room presently has a carved wood room divider from India that provides a secluded area for a queen-size bed and library. All the windows are white aluminum framed and slide open for enjoyment of the fresh breezes and sounds of the nearby jungle. SKY satellite TV is in place, along with a DVD and stereo entertainment area.
On the first floor below the artist studio is a large multi-purpose open area room and a bathroom. The bathroom has a shower and large ceramic tub area that could become a Jacuzzi, as well as a toilet and sink... simple but perfect. The multi-purpose room now has a matrimonial size bed, but has plenty of room for other activities as well. A ceiling fan/light and the sliding glass windows provide wonderful ventilation and light in this room.
Just outside is a patio area with wood table and chairs for eating out-of-doors... with an absolutely gorgeous view of the mountains and nature.
The path down from the main part of the house to the parking area and street is paved with sculptured cement... like everything else at Casa Julio... simple, functional, and artistically created.
There is parking space for three vehicles on the driveway just off the street. Bus transportation is available too within just a few minutes walk.
Just to the west of the property is a 500 m2 federal 'green zone'... this provides a buffer of natural vegetation and jungle where no one can build, but of course being public property you are free to access it.
There are plans to provide cobblestone streets, public water supplies, telephone and Internet in the very near future in this new development. Already there are some other large private homes closeby. This is an area of great potential that is just now getting noticed.
The owner is anxious to sell... send a request below for more information and come and see Casa Julio soon... it won't be available for long.
Until sold, Casa Julio is also available for rent at $7000 pesos per month.
